		<description>I use SweetLeaf Sweetener stevia.  It was the first to receive GRAS staus approval from the FDA (in U.S.) in March 2008, months before Truvia and PureVia.  In my opinion, the greatest support of stevia&#039;s safety is that it has been used in South America for 1500 years and in Asia for decades without any adverse effects reported in literature.  In fact, stevia has numerous health benefits.  Of course, stevia brands are not created equal in quality or taste.  Even so, it doesn&#039;t make sense to me that there are countries that have approved aspartame, but have banned stevia.  Wonders never cease.</description>
