Fancy your own jumbo jet? Well, part of a 747 has been put up for sale on eBay.
The 40ft-long fuselage has been placed on the internet auction site by a design company, which used the mock-up aircraft to create a new line of interiors for airline Cathay Pacific.
“My friend suggested we put it on eBay,” explained one of the firm’s directors, Howard Guy.
“It seemed a shame to break it down and scrap it.”
Mr Guy, who runs the company with fellow director Gary Doy, said he expected a range of people to be interested in it.
“It could be a movie company needing an aircraft or a nightclub wanting a private area,” he said.
“It could also be a cafe – it could seat about 40 people. It’s got electrics and newly designed interiors.”
The fuselage cost £140,000 but the company is not looking to achieve that price on eBay.
Mr Guy said: “We would be open to reasonable offers. It has got a scrap value of £10,000 because it is all aluminium.”
