Amy Winehouse has been divorced by her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil on the grounds of adultery.

Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil had been married two years.

Fielder-Civil was granted a "quickie" divorce from the 25-year-old star at a hearing in central London.

The 27-year-old, who described himself as a music video producer, stated in divorce papers before the court he found it "intolerable" to live with Winehouse.

Neither party was present for the proceedings – lasting a matter of seconds – before District Judge Michael Segal at the High Court’s family division.

Winehouse admitted the adultery with an unknown person in divorce papers now made public.

The name of the person with whom the singer is alleged to have committed adultery was stated as "not known".

In a separate document Winehouse was asked: "Do you admit the adultery alleged in the petition?"

The star answered: "Yes."

She also stated that she did not object to paying the cost of the proceedings.

In a question and answer style document, Fielder-Civil was asked: "State briefly your
reasons for saying that the respondent has committed the adultery alleged".

He answered: "The respondent confessed the adultery to me in April 2008."

He said that since April 2008 he and Winehouse had not lived in the same household.

Fielder-Civil, whose address was given as Barnby Lane, Claypole, Newark, was also asked: "Do you find it intolerable to live with the respondent?"

He answered: "Yes."

Winehouse said she received the divorce petition in April this year while in St Lucia.

The couple were married in May 2007 in Miami.

Blake, who initiated divorce proceedings from his prison cell back in January, is expected to stake a large claim on Amy’s fortune if things go his way.

This is despite the fact that he enjoyed an affair while in rehab last year and is now expecting a child by the woman in question, Gileen Morris.

The pair have not seen each other in months, with Amy having spent the best part of the year in a pair of luxury villas in St Lucia working on her third album.
